Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act and the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide a "Good Faith Estimate" of expected charges to individuals who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance (self-pay) to pay for their care.
Right to an Estimate: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy, intake assessments, and scheduled treatments.
Timing: Your provider must supply this written estimate at least 1 business day before your scheduled medical service or item if scheduled 3–9 days out, or within 3 business days if scheduled 10 or more days out. You can also request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.
Protection Against Unexpected Bills: If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your written Good Faith Estimate, federal law allows you to dispute the bill through the federal dispute resolution process.
Record Keeping: It is recommended that you save a copy or take a picture of your written Good Faith Estimate for your records.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute resolution process, you can visit the official Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services website at www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.

In order to maintain strict clinical boundaries, protect client confidentiality, and adhere to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, our clinicians do not accept "friend" or connection requests from current or former clients on any personal social media platforms (such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or Instagram).
Interacting via social media can compromise your privacy and blur the therapeutic boundary essential for effective treatment. If you cross paths with your clinician on a professional business page or public digital forum, please note that they will not acknowledge or interact with you online to maintain your strict clinical confidentiality.
