This Site is operated by Trellis Therapy of Loudoun, PLLC (“Trellis Therapy,” “Trellis Therapy of Loudoun,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a professional limited liability company licensed to provide clinical therapy services in jurisdictions where its clinicians are licensed or otherwise legally authorized to practice. The Site is provided for general informational purposes only.

IMPORTANT: Nothing on this Site constitutes professional mental health advice, a therapeutic relationship, a clinical diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Use of this Site does not establish a therapist-client relationship between you and Trellis Therapy of Loudoun or any of its clinicians. A therapeutic relationship is only established through a signed Client Services Agreement and the completion of a clinical intake.

2. Not a Crisis Resource

This Site is NOT a crisis service and is not intended for crisis intervention or emergency mental health services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, or are in danger of harming yourself or others, or require immediate assistance, please:

5. No Therapist-Client Relationship

Your use of this Site, submission of any contact form, or communication with Trellis Therapy of Loudoun via email or other electronic means does not create a therapist-client relationship. 

A therapist-client relationship is established only after:

(a) an initial consultation has occurred;
(b) informed consent documents have been completed;
(c) both parties agree to engage in treatment; and
(d) a formal treatment agreement has been executed.

Any information you submit to this Site prior to the establishment of a formal therapeutic relationship is not protected by therapist-client privilege.

5.1 Geographic Limitations and Professional Licensure

Trellis Therapy of Loudoun provides psychotherapy services only in jurisdictions where its clinicians are licensed or otherwise legally authorized to practice. Information provided on this Site is intended for general educational and informational purposes and should not be interpreted as an offer to provide professional services in any jurisdiction where such services would be unlawful.

Nothing on this Site constitutes the practice of social work, counseling, psychology, medicine, or any other licensed profession in any jurisdiction where Trellis Therapy of Loudoun or its clinicians are not authorized to practice.

Individuals seeking therapy services must be physically located in a jurisdiction in which Trellis Therapy of Loudoun is authorized to provide services at the time services are rendered.

6. Privacy and HIPAA

Trellis Therapy of Loudoun, PLLC is a covered entity subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and its implementing regulations, as well as applicable Virginia law, including the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) where applicable.

Any health information you provide as an established client is handled in accordance with our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided separately at the time of intake.

For website visitors who are not established clients, please review our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and protect information gathered through the Site.

By using contact forms or submitting inquiries through this Site, you acknowledge that general email and web-based communications are not fully secure and may not be HIPAA-compliant. Do not submit protected health information (PHI) through general contact forms.

7. Telehealth Disclosure

Trellis Therapy of Loudoun, PLLC may offer telehealth services. Any telehealth services provided are subject to separate informed consent and are governed by Virginia law, including the Virginia Telehealth Act (Va. Code § 32.1-122.6:01 et seq.).

8. Fees and Good Faith Estimates

In accordance with the federal No Surprises Act (Pub. L. 116-260) and 45 C.F.R. § 149.610, uninsured or self-pay clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges prior to scheduling services. Any fee information displayed on this Site is subject to change and does not constitute a binding financial agreement.

Contact us directly to request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling.

12.2 Limitation of Liability

Submission of a contact form, consultation request, email inquiry, or other communication does not obligate Trellis Therapy of Loudoun to provide services.

Trellis Therapy of Loudoun reserves the right, in its sole professional discretion, to decline consultations, referrals, evaluations, or treatment requests for any lawful reason, including but not limited to licensure limitations, scope-of-practice considerations, conflicts of interest, scheduling limitations, clinical appropriateness, or inability to meet a prospective client's treatment needs.

14. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, in our sole discretion. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

16. Termination

16.1 Termination of Website Use

You may terminate these Terms by ceasing to access and use the Site, Services, and Trellis Therapy of Loudoun materials. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, to terminate, suspend, or restrict your access to and use of this website (including, but not limited to, your ability to submit inquiries through our online contact forms) for any reason whatsoever.
